About Site Fly - Cardiff Drone Operator

I’m Katrina, a Cardiff drone operator and the founder of Site Fly – specialising in drone videography and aerial photography for construction and commercial projects across South Wales and the UK.

Site Fly was launched in 2024 as a sister company to Shutter Hire, creating a dedicated space for my aerial photography and drone videography services. My journey with drones began in 2016, when I bought my first Phantom 4 Pro and started exploring how aerial content could add a completely different perspective to visual storytelling.

Since then, I have continued to develop both the technical and creative side of my work, gaining recognised qualifications including GVC, TQUK Level 4, and A2 CofC. Over the years, I have worked across a wide range of environments and project types, building strong experience in safe drone operation, site awareness, and delivering professional results for commercial clients.

Today, I work with construction companies, developers, contractors, and businesses who need reliable aerial photography and videography for marketing, inspections, progress updates, and project showcases. Every project is approached with professionalism, safety, and attention to detail from first flight to final delivery.

As a fully qualified and CAA-compliant drone operator, I hold recognised certifications that allow me to safely and legally operate across a wide range of commercial environments, including construction and active sites.

A2 CofC (A2 Certificate of Competency) – Certified for safe drone operation in built-up and residential areas
GVC (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate) – Advanced qualification for commercial drone operations
TQUK Level 4 Diploma in Drone Operations – Formal training in planning, safety, and professional drone deployment

All work is carried out in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, with full insurance and risk assessments where required.
